Steps to creating a Panda Cushion
What you need
- Template/Pattern Piece
- Polar Fleece (35cm white & black- or black felt)
- Polyester Stuffing/Filling
- Pins
- Black and White Threads
- A needle
- A pair of fabric scissors and/or a sharp pair of scissors
- Glue or Sticky Tape
- Sewing machine (alternative: you can hand stitch)
- Glue or sticky tape template pages together
- Cut out template
- Pin face to white fleece
- Cut out face
- Pin pupils onto white fleece
- Cut pupil
- Pin arms and legs onto black fleece
- Cut out arms legs
- Pin ears onto black fleece
- Cut out ears
- Pin eyes onto black fleece
- Cut out eyes
- Pin nose and tail onto black fleece
- Cut out nose and tail
- Pin eyes and nose onto right side of face
- Sew eyes and nose onto face
- Pin arms and legs together
- Sew around the edge of the arms and legs and leave an opening
- Clip arms and legs (not too close to the stitching)
- Pin ears together
- Sew around the edge of the ears and leave an opening
- Clip ears (not too close to the stitching)
- Pin pupils onto eyes
- Sew pupils onto eyes
- Flip arms and legs inside out
- Roll the edges
- Stuff arms and legs with polyester stuffing
- Pin arms and legs onto face
- Flip ears inside out
- Roll the edges
- Stuff ears with polyester stuffing
- Pin ears onto face
- Sew ears, arms and legs onto face
- Hand sew a running stitch around the edge of the tail
- Gently tug the running stitch to gather the edge
- Stuff the tail with polyester stuffing
- Hand stitch the tail onto the right side of back face
- Pin faces right sides together
- Sew around the edge and leave an opening (Leave 1cm seam allowance)
- Clip face (not too close to the stitching)
- Flip face inside out
- Roll the edge
- Stuff panda with polyester stuffing
- Hand stitching the

Steps to creating a Piggy Cushion
What you need
- Template/Pattern Piece
- 35cm Pink Polar Fleece
- A sheet of Black Felt
- A pipe cleaner
- A piece of White Polar Fleece or White Felt
- Polyester Stuffing/Filling
- Pins
- Black, White and Pink Threads
- A needle
- A pair of fabric scissors and/or a sharp pair of scissors
- Glue or Sticky Tape
- Sewing machine (alternative: you can hand stitch)
Steps
- Glue or sticky tape template pages together
- Cut out template
- Pin template to the fabric
- Cut out fabric
- Pin and stitch the nose and eyes onto face
- Pin and stitch nostrils onto nose
- Stitch ears right sides together and leave an opening (pin to make sewing easier)
- Clip the edges (not too close to the stitching)
- Turn ears inside out and roll the edges
- Stuff the ears a little with polyester stuffing
- Pin ears onto face
- Stitch hands and feet right sides together and leave an opening (pin to make sewing easier)
- Clip the edges (not too close to the stitching)
- Turn hands and feet inside out and roll the edges
- Stuff the hands and feet a little with polyester stuffing
- Pin hands and feet onto face
- Stitch the ears, hands and feet onto face
- Sew the tail right sides together and leave an opening (pin to make sewing easier)
- Trim the edges
- Turn the tail inside out
- Cut the pipe cleaner to size and insert into the tail
- Cut a hole in the other face piece (not the face with eyes, nose and etc. sewn on)
- Insert 1cm of the tail through the hole (inset from outer side –front side of fabric)
- Stitch the tail to the face
- Pin right sides of face together (the tail, nose, eyes, hands and etc. should be on the inside)
- Stitch face and leave a small opening at the bottom (1cm seam allowance)
- Clip the edge (not too close to the stitching)
- Turn face inside out and roll the edge
- Fill face with polyester stuffing
- Hand stitch the small opening at the bottom and you're done
Congratulations! You’ve created your own piggy cushion!
