Steps to creating a Bunny Rabbit Cushion




What you need
  • Template/Pattern Piece
  • 35cm White Polar Fleece
  • 15cm Pink Polar Fleece or Pink Felt
  • A piece of Black Felt
  • Polyester Stuffing/Filling
  • Pins
  • Black, White and Pink Threads
  • A needle
  • A pair of fabric scissors and/or a sharp pair of scissors
  • Glue or Sticky Tape
  • Sewing machine (alternative: you can hand stitch)
Steps
  1. Glue or sticky tape template pages together
  2. Cut out template
  3. Pin template to the fabric with right sides together: face, ears, cheeks and eyes
  4. Cut out fabric
  5. Pin template to fabric: arms and legs, tail and nose
  6. Cut out fabric
  7. Stitch the eyes, nose and cheeks to the right side of face 
  8. Sew ears together with right sides together and leave bottom open (pin to make sewing easier)
  9. Clip the edges (not too close to the stitching)
  10. Flip ears inside out
  11. Fold ears in half to find centre
  12. Fold corners towards the centre and stitch in place
  13. Pin ears onto face
  14. Sew the arms and legs and leave bottom open (pin to make sewing easier)
  15. Trim and clip the edges (not too close to the stitching)
  16. Flip arms and legs inside out
  17. Stuff arms and legs with polyester
  18. Pin ears and arms and legs onto face
  19. Stitch ears and arms and legs onto face
  20. Hand sew a running stitch around the edge of the tail piece
  21. Gently tug running stitch thread to gather edge of the circle
  22. Stuff tail
  23. Hand stitch tail to the right side of back face
  24. Pin face right sides together
  25. Sew face and leave a small opening at the bottom
  26. Trim and clip the edges of the face (not too close to the stitching)
  27. Turn face inside out
  28. Stuff the face
  29. Hand stitch the small opening at the bottom and you're done

    Congratulations! You’ve created your own rabbit cushion!
